Vow Renewal Ceremonies
Initial phone or online consultation is always free. There is no obligation.
A vow renewal is a celebration and a recommitment: you say it again, out loud, to the person you have already chosen. Some couples mark an anniversary, some mark coming through something hard, some simply never had the wedding they wanted the first time. About 20 minutes, with a renewal of vows, a ring exchange, two to three planning meetings and a personalized Certificate of Remarriage. Available across Westchester County, Rockland County, the Hudson Valley and Connecticut. Because this isn't a legally binding ceremony, the way that a wedding ceremony is, there really aren't any rules about how to renew your vows—the sky is the limit!

Deposit & Final Payment: The non-refundable booking fee is $300.00 (base). Cash, Zelle, Money Order, or Cashier's Check are accepted at no additional fee. Credit Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal are accepted with a 5% processing fee added, resulting in a deposit of $315.00 when using these methods (5% of $300.00 = $15.00). The deposit is required to reserve your ceremony date and is credited toward your chosen ceremony package. The balance due is required no later than 60 days prior to the ceremony date. If the ceremony date is less than one (1) month from the date of booking, 100% of the total package price is due at time of booking and is non-refundable.
*Travel Fees: Travel to and from the Rehearsal and/or ceremony location beyond 30 miles from zip code 10604 incurs an additional travel fee: Up to 30 miles is FREE, 31-75 miles $75, 76-100 miles $125. Anything over 100 miles TBD. If there are any bridges, tunnels, tolls or parking fees that require payment, the Client is responsible for paying the additional fees.
**Rehearsal Fee: If the Client wishes to have the Officiant attend the rehearsal, a fee of $75 will be charged. The rehearsal fee is not included in the “I Do”, “Simply Sweet” or Vow Renewal Packages. It is included in the “Our Love Story” ceremony. Additional Travel Fees do apply. If the Rehearsal falls on a Preferred Holiday, the fee is $125. Client understands that if they do not book the rehearsal at the same time you book the ceremony date, there is no guarantee that the Officiant will be available on your rehearsal date.
Preferred Holidays Fee: There is an additional $125 fee if the Ceremony event occurs on the following Federal Holidays: Memorial Day and Weekend, Fourth of July and Weekend, Easter Sunday and Weekend, Labor Day and Weekend, Thanksgiving Day and Weekend, Christmas Eve and Day, New Year’s Eve and Day. “Weekend” is defined as Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and/or Monday.
Delay Fee: If you're running more than fifteen (15) minutes past the contracted start time, an additional fee of $25 per quarter hour applies. I'll always do everything I can to work with you on the day. This fee must be paid in full prior to the Officiant mailing out your signed Marriage Certificate for processing.
Refund Policy Client: The booking fee is non-refundable once the date is booked. If the Client must change the date or time of the ceremony, it will be rescheduled on the new date or time if it is available for the Officiant. If the Client's new date or time is not available for the Officiant, the change will be considered a cancellation, and the Client will forfeit the deposit. For cancellations within 30 days of the ceremony date, there will be no refund, 100% of the payment is owed to the Officiant and the Officiant is relieved of all responsibilities set forth in the signed contract. Deposits are transferable to another date and time, as long as the Officiant is available.
Refund Policy Venue: If the Event location (the "Venue") cancels the ceremony for whatever reason, the Client is responsible for finding a new venue on that date. If that date is not available, and there is no date that the Client and Officiant can agree upon due to availability, there will be no refund, 100% of the payment is owed to the Officiant and the Officiant is relieved of all responsibilities set forth in the signed contract.
Refund Policy Officiant: This policy applies only in the event the Officiant is unable to attend and perform services on the ceremony date due to unforeseen circumstances such as hospitalization, auto accident, transportation breakdown or disruption, significant traffic delays, or any other incapacitating event beyond the Officiant’s reasonable control. The Officiant shall make reasonable efforts to provide a backup officiant for the couple.
Cancellations: All cancellations are required to be made in writing by either the Officiant or the Client. No verbal cancellations will be accepted.

MARRIAGE LICENSE: The Client understands that they must obtain and provide a valid New York, CT or NJ state marriage license at the appropriate jurisdiction in which the planned ceremony will take place. Such license must be presented to the Officiant for review before the day of the ceremony so that it can be properly executed. The client has been made aware of this protocol by the Officiant and fully understands that: if a valid marriage license is not presented with government-issued identification to the Officiant before the ceremony is performed, then the officiant cannot perform a legal marriage ceremony. Officiant suggests each client should go to their cities official state website and search the rules and regulations for the state they are getting married in.

For privacy reasons, Officiant does not maintain copies of the marriage license. If you obtained a Marriage License in-person and the Marriage License is lost, stolen, or mutilated, you must obtain a Duplicate Marriage License in order to get married. The fee for a Duplicate Marriage License is $25 by credit card or money order payable to the City Clerk. Either prospective spouse may apply for a Duplicate Marriage License by scheduling another appointment for an in-person Marriage License and completing a Duplicate Marriage License affidavit.

Clients must wait a full 24 hours in NY, 48 hours in CT and 72 hours in NJ before the Marriage Ceremony can be performed unless we obtain a Judicial Waiver.

The marriage license is valid for 60 calendar days, beginning the day after it is issued. If a party to the marriage is active U.S. military, the solemnization period may be extended to 180 calendar days. The applicant must provide proof to the issuing clerk at the time of application.
WITNESS REQUIREMENT: For a Legal Marriage, you and your prospective spouse must provide the witness(s) where applicable. They must be 18 years of age or over ~requirements for NY & NYC: one (1) for NJ: two (2) and CT: zero (0). The witness or witnesses must bring proper identification. Witnesses must be provided by the Client or WMD can provide them for an additional fee.

Most first-time officiants are not nervous about the legal part — they're nervous about standing in front of everyone with a script they're not sure works. This service fixes that. I'll help write and refine the ceremony script, review your vows line by line, and coach your friend or family member through delivering it so they sound like themselves rather than like someone reading.
Three one-hour Google Meet sessions, up to four rounds of revisions, and the full Wed Me Dee Ceremony Packet — sample scripts, and wording samples for every section.
Available to couples anywhere, since everything is done over Google Meet. Keep the existing inclusions and à la carte list exactly as it is.

Final Payment: Full payment is required. Zelle is accepted with no additional service fee, while Credit Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal are accepted with a 5% service fee added.

If the Client needs to change the ceremony date or time, all meeting dates will be rescheduled to a new date or time that is available for the Officiant. If the Client’s new date or time does not align with the Officiant’s schedule, the change will be treated as a cancellation and the Client will forfeit the booking fee. If the couple chooses to cancel the ceremony entirely, no refund will be issued and the Officiant is released from all responsibilities outlined in the signed contract.
Refund Policy Officiant: Should the Officiant need to cancel a scheduled Google meeting, the Client agrees to reschedule to a date and time that works for both parties.
All Cancellations must be confirmed in writing, no exceptions!
